  • Platform: The website, web application, and backend systems supporting QR code creation, customization, tracking, and management.
  • Service: All tools, software, interfaces, and functionality made available through GetQR, including those accessed via mobile or desktop.
  • User: Any individual or legal entity that accesses, browses, registers on, or interacts with the Service.

1.2 QR Code and Usage Terms

  • Dynamic QR Code: A type of QR code generated by the platform where the destination URL or content can be changed after the code is created.
  • Static QR Code: A QR code with fixed information that cannot be changed once generated.
  • Scan Analytics: Features that track scan counts, geolocation data, time of scan, and other behavior tied to QR usage.
  • Customization Tools: Visual design features that allow users to modify the appearance of a QR code (color, frames, logos, text, etc.).

1.3 Subscription and Billing Terms

  • Subscription: A paid plan that provides full Pro access to the platform for a recurring fee.
  • Free Trial: A one-time access period where all Pro features are enabled at no cost to the user.
  • Billing Cycle: The period for which a subscription is valid before renewing (monthly, quarterly, or annually).
  • Trial Expiration: The end of the free trial period after which the user must choose a paid plan to continue Pro access.

1.4 Authentication and Security Terms

  • Authentication Code: A single-use verification code used to validate user identity during account login or security checks.
  • Access Credentials: Information used to verify account ownership and grant access, including email addresses and security codes.
  • Account Security: Measures to prevent unauthorized access, including time-based login links and verification workflows.

1.5 Force Majeure Events

Events beyond reasonable control which may disrupt the Service, including:

  • Natural disasters (e.g., floods, earthquakes)
  • Wars or civil unrest
  • Cybersecurity breaches
  • Internet service provider outages
  • Government restrictions or regulations

2.1 Platform Overview

Welcome to GetQR. We provide an advanced, easy-to-use platform for generating and managing QR codes across a wide range of use cases, from static codes to dynamic and redirectable links. With tools for analytics, customization, and file export, our services are designed to help individuals and businesses harness the power of QR technology.

2.2 Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GetQR:

  • You agree to these Terms & Conditions
  • You confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
  • You acknowledge that use of our platform is governed by applicable laws.
  • You confirm you are eligible to use the platform in accordance with the requirements in Section 5.

These Terms apply regardless of the access method you use, including:

3. Platform and Services Disclaimer

3.1 General Purpose Disclaimer

GetQR provides QR code creation, tracking, and customization services for commercial, promotional, and informational purposes only. Users acknowledge and agree that:

  • Our services are tools that facilitate information access, and are not responsible for user-generated content.
  • We do not guarantee third-party responsiveness to QR scans or redirection performance.
  • The platform is not designed for critical infrastructure, emergency services, or medical applications.

3.2 No Professional Advice

Our services are not intended to provide any form of legal, financial, or compliance advice. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of QR codes complies with local laws and regulations.

3.3 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • The content linked to via QR codes.
  • Ensuring QR codes are not misleading, harmful, or illegal.
  • Monitoring QR code usage and implementing proper access controls.

3.4 Third-Party Content and Services

We may display links or redirect users to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or policies of those third parties.


4. Acceptance of Terms

4.1 Binding Agreement

By using GetQR, you accept these Terms and our Privacy and Cookie Policies. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

4.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms:

  • Minor updates may occur without notice.
  • Material updates will be communicated via email or in-app notifications.
  • For existing users, changes become effective 30 days after notification.

5. Account Eligibility and Security

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

5.2 Account Information

  • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
  • One account per user or business is permitted.

5.3 Security Measures

  • You are responsible for maintaining account security.
  • Login credentials and one-time codes must be protected.

5.4 Prohibited Activities

  • Impersonating others or creating fraudulent accounts.
  • Sharing access credentials.
  • Using the platform to distribute illegal or harmful content.

6. Free Trial and Subscription Plans

6.1 Free Trial Access

  • All new users receive a time-limited trial for 10 days or 30 scans of QR codes done on the account.
  • Trial includes full access to Pro features.
  • No billing occurs unless you choose to upgrade.
  • After the trial, you must purchase a subscription to retain access.

6.2 Account Information

Available Plans:

  • Monthly: $49.95 USD
  • Quarterly: $89.85 USD
  • Annual: $239.40 USD

Prices may vary based on regional taxes or currency. All charges will be clearly displayed before checkout.

  • Prices may be displayed in your local currency.
  • Your exact price will be clearly shown during the sign-up process.
  • Final rates vary based on:
    • Local sales tax and VAT requirements.
    • Regional pricing adjustments.
    • Currency conversion rates.

    • Current promotions.
    • Seasonal offerings

You will be charged the exact amount shown during your sign-up. No hidden fees or additional charges will be added after sign-up. Any future changes to your subscription rate will be communicated in advance.

Note: While base prices are listed in USD above, you will always see your actual local price before completing any purchase. The price shown during your sign-up process is the exact amount you will be charged, with all applicable regional factors already included.

6.3 Payment and Billing

  • Secure payments are processed via PCI-DSS-compliant providers.
  • Accepted methods: Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled.
  • Failed payments may result in suspended service.

6.4 Cancellation Process

You may cancel anytime via your account dashboard. Your access remains active through the end of your billing period.


7. Refund Policy

7.1 Trial Period

As no charges apply during the trial, refunds are not applicable.

7.2 Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued for:

  • Duplicate or erroneous charges.
  • Technical issues preventing service access.
  • Legal obligations requiring reimbursement.

Refunds will not be granted for:

7.5 Currency Processing

7.5.1 Supported Currencies:

  • United Kingdom (GBP).
  • Canada (CAD).
  • Australia (AUD).
  • For all other regions, charges will be processed in USD.

7.5.2 Currency Conversion:

  • Exchange rates are determined by your bank or card issuer.
  • Any currency conversion fees charged by your bank are not refundable.
  • You may see currency conversion charges on your statement from your bank.

Note: While we don't charge additional fees for currency conversion, your bank or card issuer may apply their own conversion fees or charges. Please check with your financial institution for details about their international transaction policies.


8. Intellectual Property Rights

8.1 Ownership

All software, content, visual design, and technical infrastructure of the GetQR platform are the exclusive property of WTech Europe Limited.

8.2 License

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for its intended purposes. You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or modify platform code.
  • Use platform branding without permission.
  • Resell access or redistribute the software.

8.3 User Rights

QR codes and visual designs created by users are owned by the users. However, the QR generation engine, analytics, and customization logic remain proprietary to GetQR.


9. User Content and Rights

9.1 User Ownership

Users retain full ownership of content submitted to the platform, including:

  • QR code destinations (URLs, files, etc.)
  • QR names, categories, and tags
  • Uploaded logos and branding assets

9.2 License to GetQR

By using the service, you grant GetQR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Store and process QR-related data
  • Provide analytics and reporting services
  • Host and deliver QR codes and related metadata
  • Improve platform functionality (including anonymized usage data for AI systems)

9.3 Content Usage Standards

You agree not to upload or link to:

  • Inaccurate, misleading, or outdated content
  • Illegal or infringing materials
  • Harmful software, scripts, or tracking mechanisms
  • Adult content, hate speech, or misinformation

10. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

10.1 Availability Commitment

We target 97% uptime annually. This excludes maintenance windows and Force Majeure events.

10.2 Planned Maintenance

  • Scheduled downtime will be communicated 24 hours in advance
  • Typically scheduled during low-usage periods

10.3 Emergency Maintenance

  • May be applied without prior notice for:
    • Security updates
    • Legal compliance
    • Platform stability

10.4 Uptime Credits

If uptime falls below thresholds in any calendar month:

  • 95–97% uptime: 3-day service credit
  • 90–95% uptime: 7-day service credit
  • <90% uptime: 14-day service credit

11. Technical Requirements

11.2 Device Compatibility

  • Desktop and mobile responsive interface

  • Optimal performance at 5 Mbps or higher
  • Acceptable latency: under 300ms

12. Customer Support and Complaints

12.1 Availability

13. Limitation of Liability

13.1 Scope of Limitation

GetQR is provided “as is” and “as available.”

13.2 Excluded Damages

We are not liable for:

  • Business or personal losses
  • Loss of revenue, data, or reputation
  • QR code misuse or third-party access
  • Redirection failures caused by user error

13.3 Maximum Liability

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13.4 Force Majeure

We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by:

  • Natural disasters
  • Power grid or ISP failures
  • Civil unrest or war
  • Global pandemics

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta.
  • Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms shall be exclusively filed in the state or federal court in Malta.

14.2 Informal Dispute Resolution

Users agree to contact support@getqr.com to resolve issues informally before initiating legal action.

14.3 Jurisdiction

Legal proceedings will be handled by the courts of Malta.

14.4 Class Action Waiver

You waive the right to:

  • Join class actions
  • Initiate consolidated claims
  • Act as a private attorney general

15. Service Modifications

  • Update user interface and backend

16. Account Termination

You may close your account anytime via the settings page. Active subscriptions remain valid until the end of the billing period.

  • Security breaches
  • Legal compliance requirements
